At Preferental, qualifying packages and required deposit amounts are determined by the renter’s risk assessment, which is carried out using the Preferental Screenings platform.
There is a once-off activation fee of R2,750 for each property and a R950 lease admin fee charged to the tenant. We charge a monthly admin fee of R209, plus a percentage of the rental amount based on the package your tenant qualifies for. This monthly fee applies across our portfolio and supports day-to-day property administration, ongoing landlord support and continuous platform improvements.
A Lease Renewal Fee of R1,250 applies to renewals and covers a structured, guided renewal process, including coordination, compliance checks, documentation and timeline management, helping ensure a smooth renewal for both landlords and tenants.
